This piece is part of Big Mistakes. A series of artworks that sits somewhere between accident and nostalgia. It’s about the moments that didn’t go as planned, but stayed with you anyway, or maybe because of that.
A spill, a slip, a second where something shifts.
And suddenly, it’s the main thing you remember from that day.
My work revolves around taste memories, some of the strongest we have. The kind that appear out of nowhere and take you back to a moment many years ago. A table, a room, a feeling you didn’t think you’d remember.
Painted with acrylic and acrylic gel medium on wooden panel, with a focus on texture and depth. The kind that makes the surface feel edible. These painted pieces almost feel like sculptures. Each piece is made by hand in my studio in Stockholm and is part of a limited body of work.
